Chum fishing has been quite good for the past several weeks including several periods of excellent fishing, with reports from some anglers of hooking as many as 50 fish in a tide. The Brown's Bay Resort Chum derby was a huge success this year with 1082 fish weighed in. As of midnight October 26th, the harvest of Chum will close due to DFO taking a precautionary approach.

There are feeder Chinook at the lighthouse! Reports of anglers catching keepable Chinook in respectable numbers.

Prawning has been solid with reports of healthy harvests just a short boat ride away.

River fishing continues to be good in the Quinsam, Campbell and Oyster Rivers. Retention is permitted in the Quinsam and Campbell for Coho, the Oyster remains catch and release only.

Lake fishing has been strong as inflows increase and trout feed-up before winter.
