November 2 2011

The recreational Chum fishery is back up and running after a brief, D.F.O. induced hiccup that had the fishery close because of low test fishing results at Albion on the Fraser River. Turns out, there are more fish than at first thought. One of our customers reports releasing over 25 fish this past Friday, so the run continues to be holding up.

The river fishery for Coho continues with effort reducing as the run matures. The first part of November is typically quiet, with little effort until the first winter Steelhead begin to arrive toward the end of the month.

Lake fishing is good right now, especially around the creekmouths. Cutthtroat spawn over winter and are congregating close to their native streams by now.
